RPing Experience: I've been roleplaying since my mid teens. It all started in the AOL chat rooms. Oh gods above...how I depsise Rhydin. Leaped into White Wolf storylines from there. Live Action Roleplaying V:tM is interesting, let me tell you. Then went to table Top games. D&D, Palladium, Rifts, White Wolf, Warhammer 40k. Branched out to online gaming. DAoC, Shadowbane, SWG, WoW, Vanguard, Warhammer Online. It's very nearly pathetic, truth be told. But I fully embrace the inner roleplaying geek.
Writing Sample:
She glanced at the screen, chewing the corner of her lower lip and letting her fingers brush lightly along the tops of the keys. The gentle caress running back and forth along the space bar. Taking in a deep breath and exhaling slowly, she allowed her work weary sapphire eyes to wander towards the MP3 player. Seeking inspiration, she hit forward a couple times to randomly select from the myriad of eclectic songs in the library. Dream Theater - Forsaken. The corners of her lips turned up in a small, private smile as she cranked the volume up. Settling back in the standard issue office chair, she propped her bare feet up on the makeshift footrest under the desk and let her mind wander.

"Well...might as well write about something you know."

The rising chords and guitar rifts hammered her eardrums and drowned out the sounds of the huge office. Focusing on the varying shades of grey on the website, she let her mind shift into it's preferred mode. Well..one of its preferred modes. Given the fact she still had 5 hours left of the cubicle hell, she couldn't very well go get herself off in the bathroom. Although on some twisted, exhibitionist level she thought the idea would be both erotic and horribly cliche. Later, she promised herself. Better finish this sample off first.

Profession: Book Merchant - Inherited a decently sized store from her late parents. She lives above the place.
Religion: Officially, and to keep in the good graces of the nobles, she worships at the Church of the Winged Covenant. She shows only on rare occassion to gatherings, but pays a good sized tithe. However it is known in smaller, darker circles that she also caters to clientel of a less righteous viewpoint. Acquiring books for special orders and never turning away a paying customer based purely upon their religious viewpoints.

Appearance:
Long, rich mahogany hair hangs to her waistline in thick layered waves. Often tied back with a ribbon or a leather strip to keep it out of her eyes, although tendrils still manage to fall annoyingly in her eyes from time to time. Her skin is near flawless. A soft creme that brings out the deep ocean blue of her eyes. High cheekbones accent her features and brings focus to those eyes, which seem in their own way...sort of haunting and powerful. And when she smiles, it lights up her entire face as though the sun itself were shining right into those fathomless depths of blue.
She is tall for the average human female, standing at about 5'8". Her form is lithe and elegant, moving with a grace that seems more natural than practiced. Her generous bust and hips give her the appearance of a high class hooker. However a split knuckle or two on her right hand (on occassion) would indicate that she handles those inquiries with as much grace and serenity one would expect from the docks on a sailors drunken night onshore.
She is usually seen in long dark layered skirts that hug her hips and graze the ankles of her heeled boots. A rich vibrantly colored low cut corset tends to show off the hourglass figure perfectly. When about town in the colder months, a long hooded cloak hangs looseley over bare shoulders. Which also add to her mystique.
She frequents plays and theater quite often...more so than going to church, as a matter of fact. When she attends galas or social gatherings, beautiful silken gowns make her seem of higher station than she truly is. However a close eye would see that there is a lack of jewels accenting the outfits, and that some of those more lovely gowns carry similar patterns in cut. Indicating that perhaps there is a single tailor that supplies her the wardrobe.

Personality:There are two sides to every coin. Depending on the way you flip it, you can get either. Both are equally vivacious in their own ways.
She can be be the tough, no bullshit taking opportunist that does what needs to be done in order to secure her stability. Known to have both the mouth and the drinking abilities of a sailor in some company, yet mix amoung the high commoners and even some nobles with such grace and class you would swear she was bred from royalty.
Those who might know her on a more intimate, private level will find a true female of worth. An ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. She has been known to extend aid to those in need quite often. Be it monetary help, shelter from the storm of life or research into varying archives of knowledge. She is highly educated, having studied at the university and read every book in her shop more than once...even some she cannot procure.
She has a wonderous sense of humor and takes great pleasure in the simplest of joys. There is a hint of childlike wonder and a hopeless romantic. ...if you catch her with her guard down, that is.

History:
She has been taught from an early age to love books. Being read to as a child and in turn assisting her father in his shop as a young girl provided a sincere appreciation for them. While books themselves have only grown in popularity in recent years, there had always been a need from scholars and nobles. Now that commoners and even a few peasants insist upon owning the leather bound items, business has been booming.
Her mother died when she was a young girl of a fever, leaving her father to dote on his one remaining treasure. She was afforded schooling at the university when she grew old enough to attend, biting into her fathers savings considerably. But he managed to maintain their standard of living while she studied in the halls. Owning the building and living above the shop in a rather large, comfortable apartment did assist in saving money. Once he grew ill, she came back from her schooling to run the business for him and care to his needs. Now that he has passed on this past autumn, she has taken to running the shop under her own business practices.
She has had a few suitors but they were put off by her brash attitude and cunning mind. She has already, at this point, resigned herself to the fact she may never find a decent male that would take her for whom she is. Faults and gifts alike. Although a secret part of her still longs for the hopeful chance. Which is why she attends the theater. She loses herself there, often becoming so enthralled in the performance that she is often seen in deep rapture. These are her dreams and she is content in them, and her books.
Often she is seen outside the shop at a small cafe table she purchased, sipping tea and writing.
