NEWCOMER'S GUIDE

If you just joined and you've got no clue what to do, Calix is here to save the day! /o/

1. Read the Rules
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE. I swear, they're not boring, so just read them really quickly.

2. Tourist Guide
Give it a quick glance to get an idea for the universe and see if it's for you.

3. Register
Well, this is pretty obvious. You can't see anything on the forum until you're registered.

4. Say Hi
Now that you're a regular, registered, unapproved user, now what? You can post an introduction in the Intro Thread. Please do, in fact, because it's weird roleplaying with people we haven't even met. Just say a few words, nothing fancy.

5. Apply for Full Membership
Okay, so you can chat us up in General OOC but you can't do much else. So now what? Become a Full Member so you can roleplay, of course. Apply one (or more, if you've got them handy) characters as well as...well, yourself in the Member Application thread. You'll be accepted or declined based on some very lax factors, which you can read about there.

6. Create a Character Thread
You've been accepted, which means you're a Full Member and okay to roleplay on Anathema. Now you should create a character profile thread in the Character Profiles forum made specifically for this purpose. Look at other threads as an example if you need to.

7. Create Character Planning and Tracker/Request Threads
Well, how to jump into a roleplay? Advertise. Create a Character Planner for your character and people can leave comments that set up potential connections with your character, already existing, even though you haven't roleplayed with them yet. Then you can set up a Tracker and Request thread to keep track of all your RP threads, and people can also 'apply' to them to request and discuss an RP with you.

8. Roleplay
Well, this is the easy part. Just go to whatever part of Anselm (or AU) you like and start a thread. It can be private or open for anyone to just jump right in.

9. Want a New Character?
Apply at the Character Application thread (NOT the Member App thread) so he/she can be approved beforehand. Please don't RP with the character until you've gotten a PM stating approval, please.
